Blue Bands
To enable students to make the most of the LRC's new learning space in Y Cwad, we are pleased to announce a new trial loan service on Blue Band (reference) material. From January 2010, Blue Band items will be available to borrow for a three hour, non-renewable loan for use in Y Cwad.
The LRC will monitor the use of blue bands during the trial to ensure that all students and staff have the best possible access to Blue Band resources. Please contact the LRC if you have any questions about this service.

Student ID cards
ID cards are now available for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students to collect from the Library Information Point which replace the old LRC card. Please bring your registration slip with you, and your old LRC card if you have one, when you collect your ID card.
New self service points
Come into the Library and try out our new self service points, which allow you to borrow and return books, DVDs and CDs quickly and easily.
Just touch the screen to select an option, and then place multiple books, DVDs or CDs on top of the white pad under the screen to borrow or return them. Unlike with our previous self service machine, there is no longer any need to scan the barcode inside the cover of your books.
The self service terminals also tell you if any items are on hold for you ready to collect, and if there are any charges on your account. Look out for self service chip and pin card payment coming soon. Our new self service terminals have been provided through the SWWHEP Virtual Academic Library project.
Netbooks
The LRC now have compact netbook computers (sub-notebooks) available for students to loan in addition to our regular laptops. The netbooks are available with portable DVD recorders, a connection to the University wireless network and Microsoft Office applications. For more information please email lrc@trinity-cm.ac.uk or call in at the Library or Y Cwad.
