Inter-Library Loans

Trinity University College Students and Staff

If our Learning Resources Centre does not stock the material you require, you may apply for an Inter-Library Loan (ILL). This enables us to request the material you require from another library. Please check our catalogue before ordering ILLs.

Requests For Books

Trinity University College ILL Book Request Form

  1. Download the form above, complete all required details, print the form.
  2. Ask your tutor to approve and sign the form.
  3. Your tutor should forward the form to the Faculty for approval.
  4. The Faculty will send the form to LRC staff who will process the request.
  5. You will be notified when the book arrives.
  6. Collect the book from the Library Information Point and note the due date on the label inside the cover.
  7. Return the book to the Library Information Point on or before the due date.
  8. Renewal of an ILL requires approval from the Faculty and lender and this can take up to 48 hours for LRC staff to obtain.
  9. Please note that some requested items are supplied on the basis that they are only available for consultation in the Library.

Requests For Journal Articles

Please note that in accordance with copyright law you may only request one article per issue of a journal.

  1. Download the form above, complete all required details, print the form and sign the copyright declaration
  2. Ask your tutor to approve and sign the form.
  3. Your tutor should forward the form to the Faculty for approval.
  4. The Faculty will send the form to LRC staff who will process the request.
  5. A copy of the article will be posted directly to you at the address stated on your form.

School of Health Science Students and Staff (University of Wales Swansea)

You may use either the Inter-Library Loan service at Trinity University College Learning Resources Centre or the Inter-Library Loan service of University of Wales, Swansea at the Singleton or Morriston campuses. Please note any books requested will be supplied at the service point which receives the request.

If the material you require is not held in either the Learning Resources Centre (LRC) at Trinity University College or one of the libraries of the University of Wales Swansea, you may apply for an Inter-Library Loan (ILL). Inter-Library Loan Service at University of Wales Swansea

ILL requests can also be made via LIS services at Singleton or Morriston campuses. In this case any books requested will be made available at the service point which receives the request.
